Pretty to see, but hard to grow in the Twin Cities area, they thrive here on the banks of Rice Creek in wet soil in full sun. They are not for sale, but are a sight to see. Walk the boardwalk to the Creek and experience that "Up North" feeling.
Other beautiful Ladyslippers, more tolerant of garden conditions are growing in our Woodland Gardens along with Hosta, Trillium and many wonderful wildflowers. New ones arrive in early October, but our guests walk around the paths to enlighten themselves about their preferred growing conditions and prepare beds for them this summer.
As always, we have new plants from the ends of the Earth for you every week!
